Parker County American Legion Post 163 was chartered on March 20, 1920. Since then Post 163 has been welcoming VETERANS from all branches of our Armed Forces. Today, we continue to welcome all veterans and military personnel serving our country. Joining our Post enables you to continue serving your God, Country and Community. Our mission is to implement the goals, aspirations, dreams, peace and blessings for our country, friends and families embodied in our preamble.

MEMORIAL DAY CELEBRATION ON 28 MAY 2012, MEMORIAL GARDENS at 5600 Mineral Wells Hwy, Weatherford, TX 76088  --- Time is 10:00 AM with opening ceremonies followed with placing American Flags on all Veterans graves.  Special guest speakers are expected.  Chuck Katlic is expected to reach a major milestone with having placed 100,000 flags out since 1998.

All are welcome to attend and participate in this most reverend ceremony to honor our Veterans who have served our country and especially those that gave the ultimate sacrifice to keep us free. CALL 817-223-8926 or Chuck Katlic at 817-599-0952.

Come visit us at 703 Eureka St. Weatherford, TX  76086    (817) 594-4101 our hours are 5pm usually until 11pm Monday thru Saturday, closed Sunday.  Hours will vary depending on scheduled activities.

Our Post hall is available to rent for your function and will accomodate about 140.  Call Rachael Watson for rental fees and information at 817-371-9762.  

To veterans everywhere that reside or make their way to Parker County; join our Post as a member or sponsor. (click on "News Letter" for details on re-building our post). 100% of the monies raised for our Re-Building Fund will be for re-building Post 163, is tax deductible and will also be given back to the community in the form of  volunteer work to support our Veterans, their families the thoses in need; A key pillar of our mission is Americanism and continuing to serve our country and community. Also help us to continue sponsoring Boys State and Girls State for our children are our future; give aid and assistance to our local needy Veterans and their families. Help us to continue to support worthy community programs and projects such at the Veterans Transportation program, Veterans Day Parade, Memorial Day celebrations, our flag placing program and donations and support to various community charities.
